Mountain skiing has taken me to Kazakhstan, the Tatras and Andorra, while wider travel has included China, Tibet, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, the Kazakhstan steppe, the Tien Shan and the Maldives.
Travel is a useful counterweight to technology work. New landscapes and cultures change the pace, reset perspective and usually leave stronger memories than any itinerary can predict.
